It seems that lately Ethan and I only talk to each other while we feed the kids. I never thought that I would be a mother to quads.

We tried to get the nursery up to par for the babies. So far so good.

As much fun I have with them, I still like for Ethan and I to go out to get some alone time. Ethan is all up for it. So tonight we asked his sister Beatrix to come over to baby sit for us.

Beatrix says that baby sitting makes her want to have another baby. As far as I know there are no plans for another yet.

Beatrix and Chris made themselves comfortable right away. Ethan almost wanted to stay home with Chris to play. I was having none of that. Thank God we had made reservations.


We went to the downtown restaurant that has been getting rave reviews.

It was nice for it to just be us two. Soon we will have three crying toddlers coming with us. I still hope Chris and Beatrix are as open to baby sitting then.

We danced a little and it felt good to relax a bit. Ethan convinced me not to check up on our kids. I resisted.

When we got home we quickly said goodbye to Beatrix and her family. We rushed upstairs and quickly went to bed to make love. We had to rest up because we were having the family over to celebrate the triplets birthday.

It was great to have Rodrigo and Troy come over for dinner too. I thought that many people would not be able to come but they did.

There were various conversations going on. Beatrix came too and and so did Otani. It was nice that the family came over to show our babies that they were loved. A common theme was child care. Everyone was saying there should be a child care center for those that could not afford nannies. After dinner we all said our goodbyes while I took the kids upstairs to wind down.

The kids started playing with their toys and were happy to finally be free of everything. They just wanted to be in their PJ's and playing.

As I was sitting there a thought came to me. How about I start a day care here at home so that the kids could be looked after? This was something that I will have to think about. For now I will just plan to go back to my job unless something changes.

Atani Dominguez-Rainer ch 10

Alec loves getting his workout on my ballet bar. I seriously need to get another one installed. Now that I am getting older it seems that my body needs to be constantly working out.

I have to take long baths when I work because otherwise the pain can get unbearable. The money is great but I think I am coming to the end of my dancing career.

I mentioned this to Suki and she was sad to see that I might have to quit my passion of dancing. I also told her about my idea to start a dance studio here in Viramontes. The world is in need of dancers so why not have me teach them? She thought it was a great idea.

I had picked out a piece of property but I needed to have someone finalize the paperwork for me. Luckily my brother-in-law is one! Suki offered before I could even ask her. I was so grateful for her help. Now I just had to get Alec on board.

The boys got home and dreaded when I told them it was haircut time. It was a necessary trip and they changed and we were on our way.

The place was fairly empty and the boys sat down to get their haircuts. I know they like doing this with their dad but he has been uber busy at work.

One down and two to go. I feel so proud to see my boys growing up and being good kids. Sometimes I wonder if I should try to have a little girl. I think about then I think about having to change diapers again. That is all it takes for me to get the thought of another baby out of my head.

I was interrupted by my baby telling me that the guy messed up. I tried to calm my self down when I noticed my baby had makeup? What in the world.

I tried to calmly get the stylist to clean him up but I was faced an attitude. I was not going to have my baby walk out of here like this. If he wanted attitude back then he was going to get it.

Thankfully his colleague noticed and asked if she could have a try at correcting it. My baby was nervous but he let her and thankfully she corrected it.

As a treat I took my boys out to dinner. I try to do this every once in a while to teach them manners at the dinner table. So far they are learning but eventually boys will be boys.

Alec got home early and we all sat down to have a nice dinner.

Somehow the boys got Alec to promise to take me out on a date. I look at my boys and am a proud mother.

Alec and the boys cleared the table and I went to watch some TV. Alec came in and asked me what was on my mind. In truth my mind has been racing with the plans for my ballet studio.

I told Alec my business plan and he said he would support me 100%. We both know it will be hard. The truth is that it will be harder to stay in my career and continue to get work. For now I am a business owner and could not be happier!

Adam Barillas ch10- Need a break.

Business has been booming! I sometimes wonder if it was not a mistake adding on the bakery. I can not even get enough cakes baked before I need more. It was getting too stressful so I started working a little bit more from home.

I still have my celebrity clients so I cant quit too much. So I get up after the girls and Cara go to school and work. I work out and do somethings around the house. Then I do my catering events.

Cara usually gets home right after I leave. We can go days without seeing each other because of our shifts.

She helps get the girls to do the homework. If I am lucky and my shift ends early then I get to see them before they go to sleep.

This time like so many others I did not make the cut off time. I missed the girls and Cara about half an hour. I was so burned out that I decided to book us a vacation. We all need a break and the girls had summer break coming up too.

Cara was pleasantly surprised. The girls hit the waves and we hit the towels to get some sun. We both knew this is what we needed. After a while we went to eat and decided to get some massages done in town. Cara is from here and she knows where we can get everything at a discount.

While we went to get a massage she met up with one of her old school mates. Her name is Daisy and she did not recognize my wife at first. I guess because she was not wearing her typical wardrobe.

Later in the steam room she told me that she felt bad about not wearing her traditional clothing. I told her that she should and take the opportunity to teach the girls about their heritage.

She did after and felt more at home. I could tell that she missed Twikki Island. Maybe one day we could retire here like my brother Simon and his wife will.

Soon it was time to go but not before we enjoyed more sun with the girls. No one really wanted to go home.

Jada was so cranky when we got home. My little girl was tired so we all got home to snow and fell asleep. I missed Twikki island already.

The next morning the girls attacked me about getting a cat. I thought that on vacation they would forget. No such luck. As promised I took them to get their cat. I just hope that they take care of it.

We named it Buttons. Jada and Kameko could not stop holding that cat.

Francisco Otani Leopardi-ch 9

The kids are all excited to be back in school. I was totally opposite from this growing up. I guess I should be happy that they love discussing math at home.

Shelby is steady working at her bacherlors degree. I think that she herself did not realize how much she would enjoy going back to school. Now that the kids are getting older it's easier for her to get work done.

For the kids birthday they did not want anything so we gave them a small little birthday party. I can not believe that we are now parents of teenagers. They make me feel so old!

Shelby has been feeling the age thing too. That night she told me that she remembered when we discovered that she was having quads. We both laughed when we thought about the small apartment that we were living in.

Now that they are teens they are always wanting to go out. If they even stay inside its like they have ants in their pants. Before it was give them a book. Now they are running all over the house driving their mother crazy.

Finally we took them to the park so they could burn off all that extra energy.

At Viramontes new park they have decided to have instruments there for people to use. I guess they want to promote new musicians to ban together and entertain. It was not that entertaining hearing Nevada trying to play the drums.

We all headed to the bowling alley after. It is great, this stage where its a little more competitive than before. Now we can actually try to beat each other instead of watching that they don't drop a bowling ball.

And of course with the teenagedom comes the boys and girls calling this house. I have walked by and seen Nevada on the phone too many times. I know that she has friends but I have to have Shelby try to figure out who she is on the phone with all the time.

Just because we feel older does not mean that we do not go out. Now with teens we feel a little better about going out. It is like a new found freedom.

Shelby even tried to act like she did not know me. I guess she wanted to spice things up between us. I just got nervous and told her I did not want the bouncer to kick me out for harassment.

We even did some karaoke. She is way better than I am but hey it was fun.

Of couse while we were gone we were told that Nevada was on the phone non stop. We just have to make sure that she does not grow up too fast. She knows dating is at 15 not 13!
