Things have been going great for Joshua and me. We have been married for a year and we could not be happier. We have even decided that we should go for a second honeymoon to celebrate our one year anniversary.  I am really excited about going to Tikki Islands to celebrate.

Joshua is really close to his family.  It is no surprise to me to find several random family members at our home at any given time. I do admit that they are respectful and tend not to overstay their welcome.  I have known that Joshua was a legacy heir since we started dating therefore I knew his family would flock to his house. This is one of the things that I really liked about him when we started dating.

However, it is still a shock to come home in my work uniform and be welcomed not only by my husband but by his relatives as well. On this night his cousins, Julio, August, his sister Melody, his uncle Ian and my mother-in-law Brandy were there.  I walked in and then right away asked me to join them. I would have but I was really tired.  I also gently reminded Joshua that we needed to pack for our upcoming trip.
 photo 5_zpsf9bc5d54.jpg
Once his family left, Joshua packed his items and told me that he was sorry that his whole family was here.  He didn't mean for them to stay so long. He thought that they would be gone by the time I got home.  I told him that it was no problem. I just wanted to make sure we packed and rested for our flight to our second honeymoon.

Once we got onto the island it was everything that we had dreamed for.  I mean talk about relaxation!  We were too happy and content and seriously thought about never leaving.  After all my inlaws did own a vacation home here did they not?
 photo 7_zps419371e7.jpg
Even though they did own a vacation home, Joshua rented a hotel room. He said there was minor construction going on and he didnt want to get surprised by his dad or mom coming to see the progress on the house.  I had no issues with it.  But it was good to stay in a hotel where we can have privacy.
 photo 8_zpsd8a31c53.jpg
Yes it was very good to have privacy. On our last night there we did not want to leave but we knew we must!  It was sad to leave paradise and head back home.

It was nice to see that Joshua was getting better from his sun burn.  A few weeks had passed by and I was starting to get worried.  Joshua said that this meant we needed to go for more vacations.  I was game if he was.  At dinner I mentioned to Joshua that I had some news for him.  He asked if everything was OK. I told him that it would be in nine months.  It took him a while to comprehend then he just stared at me.  It eventually did sink in that I was pregnant.  He was ecstatic.
 photo 10_zps63a17f61.jpg
Over the next few weeks, we decided not to tell no one. I wanted to make sure that I passed the stage where I could miscarry.  Joshua hated holding this secret but respected my wishes.  He did not tell a soul.
 photo 13_zpsc2c1d575.jpg
We had Melody, my sister-in-law over and she was so excited to hear the news.  I asked her if she had heard from her parents because I have been calling them like crazy to tell them the good news.  She informed me that they had flown to Tikki Islands to look at the house renovations.  Turns out there have been a few bad storms and the phone lines are down.  I was worried but she said that bad news travels fast.  She was confident that everything was going to be OK.
 photo 14_zpsaa84c5d9.jpg
Joshua was so happy that he was able to share the news with his sister.  He too was worried about his parents but he told us that he managed to talk to them that afternoon.  They too were excited and would come see us the minute they could.

While its exciting to have a baby, we both realized that we were committed to finishing our master's programs.  We both signed up way before I knew that I was pregnant.  Now we were in the last stage of writing our two important papers that would be our final.  It was hectic but we are working on it.
 photo 16_zps3b617755.jpg
I was working so hard that my last few weeks of pregnancy I was placed on bed rest.  My doctor told me that I was to not touch or see anything regarding work or school.  I could feel that my goal of completing my master's before my baby was slipping through my fingers.  I would have to put that on hold for now.
 photo 17_zps022d2c0b.jpg
I called Joshua the minute the pains were too much to bear.  We rushed straight to the hospital.
 photo 18_zps410c6fc7.jpg
I gave birth to a healthy baby boy.  We are so happy to welcome, Oscar Maximo IV. He is the new legacy heir.  Joshua and my father-in-law could not be any prouder.

Author's note~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ros- take a second honeymoon.  I was so happy that these two got to take a second honeymoon.  On their last night there they decided to woo hoo and I smiled when I heard the chimes that she was pregnant.  I was happy that it was a single birth.  It seems that lately I only get twins or quads.

Oscar Barillas- Retirement is on its way.

parents of: Oscar Joshua and Melody Sofia

Brandi and I have been doing some remodeling to our summer vacation home.  Brandi got some time off so we booked a trip to Tikki Islands to check our the additions to our home.  Brandi was all for it but she also wanted to check in with Joshua to see how married life was treating him.  I told her we needed to give him space.
 photo 2_zps516f3dc1.jpg
She agreed but made me promise that we would have dinner with them when we returned.  I told her that we would.  Also who did she think would check in our dog while we were on vacation.
 photo 3_zpse3b9d02f.jpg
the only thing with travelling to Tikki is that the best flights are very early. Sometimes I dont want to take the long trip but at the end its all worth it.

Our house looked amazing.  We could not be happier!  I have to admit I was worried investing money and seeing a few emails here and there.  There is no comparison with seeing it in person.
 photo 5_zps1a779d91.jpg
We expanded the pool and we enlarged and added another bedroom.  We wanted to make sure that we had space for our kids and their growing families
 photo 6_zps7e02b344.jpg
I loved having Brandi here.  As much as we loved Viramontes we would fantasized about living here full time. She would love to retire already but she still worries that Melody Sofia still being single. I myself am not ready to retire either.  I think in a few years our nest egg will be just right and we can retire. For now it is back to reality we go.

When we got home Joshua and Ava were waiting for us.  Joshua was worried that he didn't reach us for a few days.  I thought it was a little exaggerated but Brandi thought it was so cute. I had to gently remind Joshua that I was the parent and that he needed t cool his jets.
 photo 7_zps1bbb5a4f.jpg
I guess married life was going great for Joshua.  He also announced that Ava was pregnant. I was happy that the heir was now secured.  Oscar the IV was hopefully going to be born soon.  Brandi reminded me that the baby could also be a girl.  Either way I was happy to be a grand parent.

Our wedding happened so fast but we were excited to finally be married and together. My parents were so great in helping us plan and in supporting us.  To my surprise my parents gave Ava and me $25,000 as a deposit for a new home.  I also managed to win a raffle for $5,000. Yes you can call me lucky.
Photobucket
It did not take us long to figure out what type of house we wanted.  We wanted something spacious that we would keep for a long time.  We also knew we wanted to stay in Viramontes. Since there were no built properties we bought open land and decided to build our own house.
Photobucket
Ava had a blast decorating our new living space. I let her handle most of the decorating since I was busy with work.  My dad was telling us to try to keep within a budget if not we would find ourselves in a bind. My mom and dad are debt free with a nice nest egg so I definitely listen to their advice.
Photobucket
Having my immediate family was great. Melody and Ava get along which for me is s bonus. My mom and sister are a big part of my lives.  Melody is doing great post her divorce and is quite happy to see me as a newlywed.
Photobucket
Ava recently got a promotion at work which allows her to do a lot of work at home.  Working at home is nice but it can also be a little stressful.  We both decided to take a few days off and head out for a mini vacation.
Photobucket
It was fall but that didn't stop us from going on a camping adventure.
Photobucket
We had a great time by the campfire and met a lot of great people.
Photobucket
Sadly all good things must come to an end. It was sad but we both had to head back into the real world. I had to keep working for a promotion and Ava had to help her boss launch a new line.
Photobucket
It felt good but wierd to come back to Viramontes to our own home. I was so used to coming back to my parents house.  Now we get to come home to our dream home.
Photobucket
Another plus is that we get to do whatever we want in our own home. Ya its awesome to live on your own.

Francisco Otani- Chapter 10- Love is not in the air.

My niece Kayla and Nevada have been bonding a lot lately.  Its nice to see her around since Madeline decided to move to another city.
Photobucket
My boys are growing up way to fast.  I think that all my kids fail to realize that we are education first relationships last.  It was a little bit of a surprise when I noticed that Sergio liked his friend Cassidy.  I let it develop a little bit before I reminded everyone of the rules on dating.
Photobucket
Angel himself is also starting to show interest with his friend Joe Carr.  I was a little surprised when Angel told us that he was gay.  Mind you I was surprised but I didn't think he was going to start to try to date.  So I was OK with him having a friend but again I also reminded him about dating.
Photobucket
So imagine my surprise that turned to anger when I saw Angel and Joe kissing.  I could not believe that these boys could sit here and disobey the rules that we set forth.
Photobucket
I told Angel that he was grounded on the spot and I said goodbye to Joe for him.  I think Joe thinks I am upset because they are gay.  That is false, I am upset because we want the kids to focus on school.  Life is too complicated for them in school without adding relationships to the mix.
Photobucket
Otani and I agreed it was time for us to to sit the quads down and remind of the rules.  We had the birds and bees talk before.  We decided to say it all over again.  We did not need an unplanned pregnancy.
***********
Photobucket
Juno, Ethan and Beatrix came over to have dinner. We are all so busy we try to plan dinner once in a while to catch up.
Photobucket
It was great to have the family over and just sit back and relax.
***************
Photobucket
But having great dinner too often can lead to extra pounds. I decided to finally get back on the treadmill and lose a few.
Photobucket
That eventually led to a small little make over. I love my longer hair.  I was not the only one to get a makeover.  Otani and I also decided to lighten up our decor downstairs.
Photobucket
We exchange the dark ruby colors for a brighter yellow.  The kids like it more than before.
Photobucket
We have also changed our living room to a lighter shade as well.  I like our brighter living space.  Can't to see what else Otani will let me redecorate!

Author's notes~~
I have decided to cheat and use the matchmaker services to find suitable companions.  I wait for my teenage sims to find someone but honestly I don't play them enough.  For now I pay the $5000 which of course I "kaching" them and use that to find them a suitable date.  I don't know if I will stick to this but for now it seems to be working.

I have to admit that being alone with Brandi is the best ever. We both love coming to our vacation home to unwind and relax the days away.
Photobucket
Brandi loves swimming in the pool day and night.
Photobucket
She has begun taking massage classes here on the island. She needs to practice and who am I to deny her my body for such a task?
Photobucket
As much as we love it here, we know we have to get back and face our daily lives. We ask ourselves if its time for us to retire. We are debt free and can retire..but we are too much of workaholics to do so. For now we just have to pack up the house and head back to Viramontes.
***************
Photobucket
When we got home Joshua informed us of all the new things going on. Apparently he is now engaged to Ava and moving out. This was a shock to us because when we left he was literally dating other women.
Photobucket
Brandi was silent and offered him congradulations. She asked where Ava was and apparently she is getting her things packed up in Paradise Springs. For a minute we thought Josh was going to tell us he was moving out there. To Brandi's relief there she is moving here but they are getting their own place.
Photobucket
Joshua left to tell his sister and left me and Brandi to process. Brandi is semi happy since Ava was the one who called it off last time. Even though we are cautious about this, its Joshua's life. He has to live and we can only be there to show our support.
