Isabel Barillas Ch 6

I got a phone call today that changed a lot of things for me. There are people that come and go from your life and you wonder what ever happened to them. I have been dating Veronica for over a year but getting called that Candice had died was still too hurtful. I had not talked to Candice in over a year but she never had removed my name from her emergency contact list.

Veronica came to my aparment after work. I admire that she consoled me crying over my ex partner's death. She hugged me and told me that everything was going to be alright. I was grateful that Veronica supported and understood why I was grieving Candice.

We decided to go out and play some cards. I needed to get my mind off of things. I even think Veronica let me win a couple of hands. I just can not believe that one day you are here and the next you are gone.

I do not know exactly why but I had my family over for dinner. For some reason my brother Aaron never brings his kids. I think he considers that my apartment is too small to handle too many bodies at once.
Veronica loves having my family over for dinner. Now a days it seems that Veronica spends more nights here with me than at her own place. We both brought up the question of moving in together. I even suggest we get a place of our own. For now we are weighing our options.

My moms are still concerned about Candice passing but they see how happy I am with Veronica. My mom Amarilis sometimes wonders how Veronica and I never really dated in high school. I think about that too and realize that we missed out on a lot of opportunities.

When everyone is finally ready to go home, Veronica and I sit down and rest. Doing dishes after such a big dinner is gruesome.


Veronica and I have decided to move in together. For now we are going to live here and save up some money. Veronica wants to finish her college degree and is even encouraging me to do the same. I do not feel or want the college pressure. There is a reason why I went those semesters and then quit. I like my life the way it is and for now I am happy.

Just because we now live together does not mean we will not go out on dates. We both promised ourselves to have at least one date night a week. So far its been several nights a week. It is so easy for us to just pick a place and go there to have tons of fun.

We had dinner with my moms the other day. Veronica was happy to see them and vice versa. I was actually happy that we were all able to put our schedules together and choose a date for dinner.

Right before we had our meal I tured to Veronica and told her...
"the reason my moms are here is because I want them to know... I want them to know that I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Veronica you have been my rock since I have known you. I do not know why I did not see it before but I do now. Will you marry me? "

She was so surprised because she never expected it. I was holding my breath right before she whispered, "yes, yes Isabel I will".
We enjoyed our dinner and can look foward to planning a wedding to celebrate the beginning of our lives together.
Authors note:

• The death of Candice was due to ROS. I still can not believe how many death's I rolled this round. I did not feel this one because Isabel had no romantic wants for Candice at all.
• From the moment that Veronica and Isabel met there has been balloon farts all over the place. They constantly swoon over each other. For now she can not wait to be married to Veronica. Good thing Veronica has also rolled the engagement want for Isabel.

Dylan Barillas-Wilkie ch 6-So lucky am I.

I am a lucky guy. I come home to a wonderful home full of love. The best is that I get to see my little girl greet me the minute I get home from work.

My husband is usually in the sauna relaxing. He is getting his bachelor's degree but its a lot more stressful than it need be. I think he should just relax and enjoy our life but he sees things differently.

I hear him with our kids and I never regret that we decided to have them. I still remember Dylan trying to convince me to have kids. I was against it but now I could not see myself not having kids. Sure he is beginning to ask for another one but I do not want any more. Two is more than enough.

For now the kids are doing great in school. I am glad that they have their dad home to make sure home work is done.

I even heard Harold trying to bargain having a trip to Tikki Island if he gets all A's on his report card. Dylan told him no. I know that if it were me I would promise my son everything. Dylan is against us spoiling our kids. He says its hard enough living in this big house with all the amenities and a butler to top it off.

Dylan's family comes around and I love when they do. I don't stay late because of work and well Dylan is younger than I so he needs people his age to hang out with.

When I come home its a little chaotic but its nice having everyone over. Dylan still feels a little bad when it gets too noisy. Its his home too and I want him to feel comfortable having his family over.

Jane our nanny is still with us. Dylan and I think that we may be letting her go soon. It's hard because we love Jane and she is part of the family. Too bad there is no one she can marry in the family.

Like I said before, I tend to go to sleep earlier than the rest. I bid them all a good night and I head up to get to sleep.

One thing about being old, you wake up around 2 or 3am and realize you are no longer sleepy. I was so tired when I feel asleep that I did not notice Dylan come into bed. I lie there and look at my husband and wonder if he is truly happy with our marriage.

He says he is truly happy and our age difference does not matter... but it still gets to me sometimes. Either way I know that I am lucky to have my loving family.

College Years: Oscar Joshua III, Julio, August Barillas

Ava and I have taken things to the next level. We were both ready and we are happy we took our time to get to this place in our relationship. Now that I am a junior I feel closer to the goal of completing college.

I have to practice a lot in front of my mirror for my communications class. I never thought I would have to give so many speeches in my life.

My cousins Julio and August have been busy trying to get past their sophomore status. I feel bad because we all started at the same time. For now they do not have the same drive too get out of college as I do.

August and I talk about school and all he can think about it his girlfriend Elizabeth Ng. His girlfriend is back home. I guess she decided not to go to college but Augusts is miserable without her. I think he is going to marry her even though he is in denial about it.

Elizabeth finally came to visit him and I did not see him for the rest of the weekend. It was great to see how they get along. I have to admit it did make me miss Ava.

As always at the end of the semester my cousins announced they were expelled due to their failing grades. I guess this means that its just me now. Julio was sad because he was leaving his boyfriend Guy behind. I do not know if they are going to last but we shall see.

4th year--Senior Status

Senior year for me was a blur. Between so many papers due and speeches. I was just happy to graduate with my political science degree. My parents were ecstatic.

Ava came down and we managed to take a picture. I still can not believe its over.

I packed up and got into the cab to move back to Viramontes. For now I am going back home until I get stable enough to move out. Either way my parents are more in Tikki Island than home lately. I just hope that I can find a job.

Lauren Barillas-Santaner Ch 3- Unbelieveable.

We have finally made it to our own apartment. Alon loves being in the pool while I just loaf around. For now we are not that well off but we managed to get a loan. We are renting but thats better than moving back home with my mom.

Right after we moved in I gave birth. We were both shocked to find out that I was expecting Quads. Alon was in shock and did not know what to say. Financially this means were more in the red than black.

We managed to barely scrape enough money for the kids nursery. I still cant sleep thinking of all the financial burden we are in.

What even worse is that we were irresponsible and I am pregnant again. I was not expecting this to happen so soon. Alon says I need to work but we have no money for daytime nanny. I am scared because I know I could be expecting another set of quads. We really do not know what to do at this point.

Lauren's pregnancy is due to ROS. I was shocked that she had quads but she herself is a quad.

Lizandra Barillas ch 3--This is how it is.

I had a call from my sister Audrina telling me that she was finally expelled from school. She wanted to move in with me but my place is so small. I think that it would be better for her to move in with our moms.

She also asked me about my love life. I told her it was non existant. I still hope for the day Orlando will come to his senses and realize that we can make our marriage work.

Orlando finally located me and asked me if he could come over. I said yes immediately. When he did come I was shocked to see how different he looked. He looked more mature and ready to take on the world. Gone was the shy Orlando I married before we went to college.

He asked me how I was and I thought we were going to try to fix things. I noticed he was still wearing his wedding ring and I was glad I did the same.

Things went from great to worse. Orlando had acutally come with paperwork for a divorce settlement. I told him that I would not sign until I was ready. He asked me to give him his freedom so he could travel the world. Gone was the person i fell in love with. Here was this egotistical man and he was getting on my last nerve.

I was so mad that I said, "Give me the damn paper because I want to be rid of you for good" and just like that our almost four years of marriage were dissolved. I told him that I never want to see him again and he agreed.

Even though I have been back for a while, it does not mean that my family has been over my small apartment. It actually surprised me that my quad sister Jacquelyn showed up. I thought something was wrong but she says she just came for a quick visit.

Opal came along too. I had not seen them in four years. Jac looked the same while Opal looked so much older.

Even my mom Consuelo came over to see if I was OK. Apparently Orlando went over and told them we were divorced.

Both my moms just stared at me and reminded me that they too had divorced and got back together. I somehow do not think that is the case.

Don't let anyone tell you that getting a job in viramontes is easy. I got the easiest job at my old high school putting the year book together. Why is it that I got fired? I guess I had too many ideas for them. I need to find a job and fast.

I did find a job as an executive assistant. My first paycheck I bought a little puppy and named her Gucci. I know I know...but still she is cute as a button. She will definitely relieve my stress.

Audrina Barillas-- College Years.-- Say its not true.

I could not believe my ears. After being together for over two years Ashley broke it off with me. I was devastated. He said he needed to focus on graduating with honors. I did not let him explain but before he left I told him, "you will regret this Ashley".

As soon as the word spread that I was single, the boys lined up to get to know me. I met Andrew Couderec ( they guy with the hat) and Clay Love. They both asked me out but I really did not feel anything that special.

Clay ended our date with a kiss but for me it was just some lips pressing on mine. I did not feel sparks and I just told him thanks but it would not go further. He was a little mad but he got over it soon enough.
4thYear--finally a Junior.

I called my moms to tell them I might fail last year but I did not. I am finally a Junior and I was going to work my butt off. I dont know what happened. I was doing good then all of a sudden everything was too hard to complete. I got so overwhelmed that I had to withdraw from a class. Because of that I ended up failing my Junior year and being explelled.

Ashley had heard about me being expelled. He rushed over to tell me he loved me and did not want to see me go. I guess it was better for him to graduate and leave me behind. I told him it was true, I was expelled and leaving on the first ticket back. He asked if I would see him again and I simply told him that it was up to him. I said, " I live in Viramontes, look me up sometime". and that was the end of that.

Sure people stare at you when your the expelled loser headed to the cab. My ex brother-in-law Orlando did not even say bye to me. Go figure he leaves my sister and now im enemy number one. I wish everyone the best but im outta here.
