My older sister Africa has been dealing with a lot lately.  I came home from work and she wanted to talk.  I know she has been asking for a place to stay or some money. I think that life has really laid one on her because she is now losing her house and will need to sell her assets to pay off her debt. 

I feel bad for her but I myself can't help her. All of our money is tied in my new dance school.  She understood but felt bad having to ask for help.  I told her to ask Austin since he has room and as legacy heir has some financial freedom.  She didn't feel like it since Sasha and Nicolas lived with Austin Miguel for a while.  I just hope she will be able to make it past this.

For now I am still working as the lead dancer at the dance company.  I take half of my time for my dance school.

My school is now officially open but I do not have a big class size.  Its saddening sometimes but this is why I still work as a classical ballet dancer. If it werent for my regular job we would be in financial trouble.

Oddly enough my class right now is full of males.  I encourage everyone, anyone to come on down and get some dance classes.  Right now they are learning the basics and it seems that they are having fun.

I try to make it home in time for dinner. Its important for Alec and I to show the kids that family dinner time is important. 

We also try to make time for ourselves.  Right now we both are focused on our careers.  We go out on dates and have a great time.  We still have the spark well lit in our marriage.

Having dinner with Alec is great because our conversation still flows. We still have a great time and our conversations start from work and always ends up with our kids.

Hitoshi and Kanji are turning 13 and we have been trying to plan a birthday party. Alec wondered if it was OK since Africa was going through financial problems. I told him it would be OK since we were throwing the party for all of us to hang out.  We were not throwing a birthday party for gifts.

The morning of the party I was making sure everything was clean for our arriving guests.  Alec hates when I get in my cleaning mode.  He was not too happen when I told him he had to get up so I could make the bed. 

Hitoshi was excited for the party to begin.  It was a good turn out.

Suki was telling me how she and Toby feel bad that he could not get another outcome for Africa's case.  Suki claims Africa is upset that Toby did not do a better job.  I told Suki to cut Africa some slack. She is in a crisis and as a family we have to support her the best we can.

When Africa did get there she acted normal.  I am glad she came.  Laci didn't come because she was home packing things up.  I was happy that my family was together.  Alec was happy that Africa didn't argue with Toby or Suki at the party.

Adam Barillas- Ch 11- The teenage years are upon us.

As much as I try to get the girls to try ancestral outfits from my Tikki island I am unable to do so.  They laugh a little bit but they know that will have to wear it at some point.  Adam supports me but its hard to get them motivated.


For now our work schedules give us time to spend with the girls.  I work days while Adam works evenings as his job as personal chef.  We still own the restaurant and it has been plenty successful.

Ever since the girls are in school all day, Adam spends his days with our pet cat.  He loves that cat more than the girls do.  I think he is trying to tell me that he may want to try for a baby.  At this point in our careers I think we are settled with our twin girls.  For now I will support Adam bonding with our cat.

We celebrated the girls birthdays.  They were so excited to finally turn 13. I thought they were going to burst with joy.  Amarilis loves the girls and bought a lot of clothes for them during their daytime shopping spree.  We never dressed them the same so they have different dress styles.

It was great having my in-laws over to relax and shoot the breeze.

After cake the girls decided to call it a day and left for their bedroom to enjoy their gifts.

We adults stayed behind to party and dance a little bit.  Its been a while since Adam and I just hung out with our family and danced the night away.  As suspected he asked if we were OK with just having the two girls.  I told him I was fine but I don't know if he is.

We all smustled and had a grand time. This party was for the girls but in the end the adults were the ones partying the night away.  Bring on the teenage years!

My niece Kayla and Nevada have been bonding a lot lately.  Its nice to see her around since Madeline decided to move to another city. 

My boys are growing up way to fast.  I think that all my kids fail to realize that we are education first relationships last.  It was a little bit of a surprise when I noticed that Sergio liked his friend Cassidy.  I let it develop a little bit before I reminded everyone of the rules on dating.

Angel himself is also starting to show interest with his friend Joe Carr.  I was a little surprised when Angel told us that he was gay.  Mind you I was surprised but I didn't think he was going to start to try to date.  So I was OK with him having a friend but again I also reminded him about dating. 

So imagine my surprise that turned to anger when I saw Angel and Joe kissing.  I could not believe that these boys could sit here and disobey the rules that we set forth.

I told Angel that he was grounded on the spot and I said goodbye to Joe for him.  I think Joe thinks I am upset because they are gay.  That is false, I am upset because we want the kids to focus on school.  Life is too complicated for them in school without adding relationships to the mix.

Otani and I agreed it was time for us to to sit the quads down and remind of the rules.  We had the birds and bees talk before.  We decided to say it all over again.  We did not need an unplanned pregnancy.

Juno, Ethan and Beatrix came over to have dinner. We are all so busy we try to plan dinner once in a while to catch up.

It was great to have the family over and just sit back and relax.

But having great dinner too often can lead to extra pounds. I decided to finally get back on the treadmill and lose a few. 

That eventually led to a small little make over. I love my longer hair.  I was not the only one to get a makeover.  Otani and I also decided to lighten up our decor downstairs.

We exchange the dark ruby colors for a brighter yellow.  The kids like it more than before.

We have also changed our living room to a lighter shade as well.  I like our brighter living space.  Can't to see what else Otani will let me redecorate!

Author's notes~~

I have decided to cheat and use the matchmaker services to find suitable companions.  I wait for my teenage sims to find someone but honestly I don't play them enough.  For now I pay the $5000 which of course I "kaching" them and use that to find them a suitable date.  I don't know if I will stick to this but for now it seems to be working.
