I am really happy with myself.  I have struggled but finally I have finished my Master's degree.  It took a lot of work to get it done. 

The kids are also working hard making sure their grades are good.  I want to make sure that they have a good example by seeing that I have completed my degree. 

August and I have been getting along getting along more lately.  No we are not trying to get back together. I think we both know that we don't work together.  He is actually dating another girl and he wanted me to know before the kids told me.  I was fine with that. 

When I am alone, I have a lot of time to get some extra work done.  I want to start looking for another job.  I am hoping that I can find something that will give me a little extra money.  I have even been contemplating getting my PhD.  However I think I too am ready to get out there and start dating. 

One of my neighbors, intrigued me. I thought maybe there would be something there.  It turns out that it does not work because he likes another girl and can not top talking about it. 

I was asked out by Heath but I dont think that he wants to exclusively. I think he is fine dating openly.

I decided that it was time for me to bid Melody farewell. I had held onto hope that we would somehow manage to work things out.  I even went to see her and noticed that she was actively dating.  I have been dating too but I have not given myself 100% to her.  I sent Elizabeth an invitation to come for dinner. I had told her that I was still in love with my ex wife but now I wanted to make sure that she knew I was ready to move on.

It really hurt to know that I was never going to be with Melody-Sofia again. She was my first love. Now that I look back at things maybe I shouldn't have pressured her to have a family with me.  Either way I was ready to move on and needed to put these feelings behind me.

Elizabeth looked even more beautiful than I remembered her.  She asked me straight out if I was over Melody. I told her that I was ready to move on and I would love it to be with her. 

we barely made it inside and we were tearing our clothes off.  She told me that she has been waiting to be with me since we started dating months ago.

I have been training Elizabeth when I have free time.  She has a perfect body but she wanted to get it toned up.

I have never been this happy.  Elizabeth and I love being together. I asked her to move in with me. I asked her if it was too soon. She told me that she would love to move in.

Our first night as a moved in couple was awesome.  We made love and then I started to panic that I was moving too fast.

I walked to the yard and started working out.  Elizabeth came down and asked me if everything was OK.  I told her that I needed to take a breather.  I tried my best but I can see that she was worried that I regretting moving in.

The next morning we woke up and I told Elizabeth that I did not regret us moving in together. 

Before I left for work I grabbed her and told her that everything was going to be OK.  I knew it would be. It just had to be.

We are currently enjoying being empty nesters. I never thought that having this big house would be too much for Emmy and I .  We have talked about downsizing to a smaller house. I am not opposed to it but being the CEO of a new hospital requires to uphold certain standards.

Besides the minute she has me convinced, we head out to the garden and she changes her mind.  She loves being out there making sure everything is trimmed and weeded. I have offered to hire a gardener but she will not hear of it. She said that she needs something to do especially now that the kids are out of the house.
 
In the morning, I do not like to get up from out cozy bed to go to work.  I snuggle up against Emmy and ask her if she can call in sick for me.  She smiles and kisses me which leads to passionate morning sex.  This morning right when we were done the doorbell rang.  We were both surprised and quickly got dressed to see who it was.
 
To my surprise it was our kids. I asked them if everything was OK and they said the needed to talk to us.  I was concerned and worried when Juliann said that. I saw Gerard Jr and felt a little more at ease.  What ever it was, at least both of them were safe.
 
Imagine our shock when we heard that not one but both of our kids got expelled from school. 
 
I was left with out words. I never would have thought that they were doing so poorly in school.  Juliann started saying that they did not get the course work and that they were homesick.  Gerard said he did not like the campus at all and wanted to come home and try something else.  Really? Is this what Emmy and I worked so hard to raise? We raised two children to become irresponsible young adults?
 
Emmy was more calmer than I was. I was still trying to wrap my head around all of this. I heard her tell them that they could stay here but there had been some changes to their bedrooms.  At some point we agreed for them to stay here and figure things out.  I piped up that point and made sure both of them knew they needed to get jobs. After all if college was not for them then a job was!
 
They were surprised to find out that Gerard's Jr's room had been turned into a fitness room.  His bed was in storage but he needed to make space for the machines in the room as well as his bed.  He was OK with that. I could tell he felt defeated.
 
Juliann lucked out because we had agreed to leave her room as a guest room.  She loved her new space.
 
I thought for sure Emmy was going to coddle the twins.  When they went to look at their rooms she looked at me and told me we had a serious problem.  I agreed with her. We did not want the twins being dependent on us forever.  We both agreed that we would charge them rent.  Emmy smiled because she said it was going to be a rude awakening when they figured out that they need a college degree to make a decent living.  I smiled at my wife and promised her that the nest would soon be ours again.

We are settled into our routine of our lives and we love it. I have to admit that sometimes I am worried but then I Ronan hugs me and tells me how much he loves me.  At that moment, I know that I am right where I need to be. 

One of our highlights is when August brings my grandkids over to visit.  I cant believe how fast they are growing.  Ronan is great with them.
 
Once they leave its just us and we are fine with that.  Us and our cats make a great team.

Now that my older children are young adults its harder to see them than before.  It seems like yesterday that they were babies.  I am glad that they get along with their half brother and sister.  There was a point when I was worried that they wouldn't get the opportunity to grow up together. however now that I look back and I think that they are fine.

Valentine is no longer a kitten. He is a cat with his own agenda.  Against our better judgement we decided to let the kids have a pet.  Now we just have to work on training him not to eat our human food.

Payton is not having so much luck with the real estate market.  He is currently licensed to sell only in Viramontes.  He has been contemplating getting licensed to sell property in the surrounding suburbs.  I think its a good idea.  As for me I am still enjoying the royalties from my music career.  Soon they will run out so I have to think of other options.


Payton noticed that Eugenio loves coming by more than his siblings.  I didn't notice it but then I saw him and a young girl named Celeste Kosmokos.  I think that they are together but he is not saying anything.  I hope that he does feel like he can talk to me about these things.  I dont want to push so I have not said anything.
 
Before long it was time to take them to Marco's house.  For now some are going to college and some are not. I wish they all went to college but I can't force them.  This is the hard part of being a parent of a young adult. You have to sit back and hope that everything you gave them is enough.  I can only hope that we did the correct thing.

Ch. 1- Settled in

I am finally settled into my apartment and August brought over the kids to stay with me for a week. It seems like it has been forever since we were together. August was not too happy when we got divorced. It was hard on me too but I really needed to do this for myself and my children.  I was just not happy staying stagnant.

Julius is such a nice toddler. He likes school but I wish he could stay with me forever.  I managed to keep them going to preschool while they stay with me. 

Its fun having them around. It seems like yesterday when I was teaching them to walk.

I can tell right now that August needs to work on their bedtime.  They struggle with me when I put them down at a decent hour.  Now that August is living with Julio I think that my kids schedules have been affected. 

No matter how neutral I try to stay with August he manages to piss me off. I am trying to tell him about my school schedule and work but he just wants to argue that I never have the kids. I have a feeling that he wants more freedom now that he's dating. 

I told him to cool it because our agreement is two weeks him and two weeks me. I have no problem being with my kids but I refuse to have them all the time. They need their father in their life.  August doesn't see this but I do.  So for now we are back to square one. If he continues like this I will go back to court and make sure he never sees them. This could have a different turn out completely.

Once they are gone I feel sad and lonely.  But not to worry because I have to get my master's completed.  Its a lot of work but it will totally worth it in the end.

I found a part time job as a school monitor and it helps to pay some of my bills.  Sometimes I come home to see some of my neighbors playing chess. I decided to join them one day and met Blazej Livingston and Heath Smith. I think Heath is a little cute but I am not looking to date anytime soon.

Once I showed them who's queen of chess around here, its back to studying. I hope I finished this masters rather quickly!

The real Elizabeth Ng was a non playable that August fell for in University.  I got them married but kept Elizabeth as a "young adult" stage. Once divorced Elizabeth became corrupted. I moved her into an apartment and she could not click on anything at all. This was not the case when she lived with August. So I bit the bullet and deleted her and created a brand new Elizabeth Ng and reissued her family ties with the simneator.  Its funny because this Elizabeth loves August versus the old one hated him.  It hurt me to delete Elizabeth but there was nothing I could do and I didnt have the heart to kill her off.   So heres to the new and uncorrupted Elizabeth Ng.

Joshua Ruben- ch 1 Out on my own.

Joshua (37) Location: Paradise Cove

I decided that after my divorce it was best for me to move away from Viramontes. My job brought me here to Paradise Cove so I decided to settle down.
I fell in love with this house when I saw it.  Its a little gloomy here since everything is all desert but I hope to grow something in that yard.

I have to stay in shape for my job so I am using my time to work out.  As of now working out outside is the best remedy to keep in shape. 

I am getting used to living alone but I am also trying to get out there and start dating soon.  I want to make sure that I am ready to start dating.

So I went out on the local sites to try to get the feel of whats out there. There is no time like the present to get back in the dating pool.

I never was a serial dater and I found this young lady. She caught my attention right away. Her name is Elizabeth Garcia. We talked, dance and exchanged numbers. As much as I like this girl, I also want to see how she is in the daytime.  A girl is way different in the day time versus night time.

I said goodnight to her and hoped that we could go out on a date soon.

I am busy with my job right now but I managed to squeeze in a date with Elizabeth.  She came over and I was working out.

It happened rather quickly. I mean I really didn't intend for us to go to bed on our first official date.  I am not one to move quickly but she was just too hot to take slow.

I am not saying I am going to marry this girl. I want to take things slow but I am definitely interested. This town has a lot0 to offer.
