Africa Dominguez- ch 11 Uncertainty is killing me.

I knew it hurt Africa to have this conversation with our eldest kids so I decided to do it.  I informed Sasha and Nicolas that if they wanted to go to college it would have to be on their own accord.  We were not financially able to help at all with any college expense.  Sasha wanted to stay back and help but I refused.  College is something that will help them to grow up and find their way in this world.  It's bad enough they are not living here for me to ask them to stay and help us out financially.

I had to get all the kids ready for school.  Now that the Anne, Ellen , Myra and Ryan were five they too were going to school on a daily basis. 


We now know that we are definitely on the brink of losing this house and all of its possessions.  I know that Africa is the only one on the line for this and she reminds me of it every day.  She tells me to leave and save myself.  I am with her for better or worse so I would never leave her.  As of now we owe a whopping 107K.  We are barely making the minimum payments on everything but we have to come up with a plan. 

I know Africa doesn't want to hear it but our best solution would be to sell the house and literally move into a small apartment.  She can't bare to have the kids not living at the beach but we just can't afford it.  She is hoping that our brother-in-law Toby can come up with a solution.  His latest idea was to come up with a proposal that would freeze our interest on the loan for five years but at a cost of $5K for each frozen year.  For now that is not benefiting us... but Africa thinks it will save us. 

We try to keep our financial problems away for the kids. I am sure they notice that Sasha and Nicolas no longer stay here.  They finally are off to college.  I hope that they get enough scholarships to cover  their costs.

Things are definitely tenser now. The kids now seem to notice that we have started talking about moving out of the house.  Its a hard decision but one that I want to happen soon.  I want us all to be better off financially.

Asia came over and tried to get Africa to see that this situation is getting worse.  Africa gets so defensive so its best that the subject is avoided for right now. 

Before we knew it the decision came down from the judge. He would only grant four years freezing provided that we both have employment. The house had to be sold and all the property inside would be retained by the bank. Africa was sobbing as Toby told us the verdict. I am relieved we have a plan in sight. Africa just went to bed saying that she couldnt handle dealing with this now.

These two have always had financial problems.  It became a bigger issue when Africa got pregnant with quads.  They have dug themselves in financial debt and this is the only way to semi get them out of debt. 

Austin Miguel- ch 16 We are family

The boys are enjoying their summer vacation as much as I am.  Its awesome to have my boys here with me by the pool.  Soon Victor will be going to college and it will just be us with Venizio. 

Work is getting a little hectic and Miguel is wondering if I should cut down on my work hours.  At this point I cant because I am aiming for a promotion.

With me working so much I rely on Victor to help me with Venizio.  Victor and Venizio get along and I am grateful for that. 

As much as I want Victor not to grow, well he has.  Now I have this little girl coming around asking for Victor all the time.  I first heard of her from Venizio.  He let it slip out that she had come over to take a dip in the pool.  Her name is Emily Hourvitz.

I don't know how serious this is but I can gather from Venizio that it is a little serious. I want Victor to focus on school and going to college.

Because he is not focusing Miguel decided to step it up and try to get Victor refocused on school.

After homework, I overheard Victor asking for tips on asking Emily as being his girlfriend.  Being 15 is way too young to think of having a girlfriend.  Miguel semi agreed with me. He told Victor that he would allow him to date at 16.  I cringed when I heard that but what else could I do? My baby is growing up too quickly.

Miguel's family is going through a crisis at the moment.  My sister-in-law Africa is on the verge of losing her house.  Miguel is stressed because he would love to help but has not found a way.  Africa in her own right has refused financial help.She says that we have done enough letting Sasha and Nicolas stay with us for a year.  I feel bad for Africa but what can we do?

What we can do is help our family get through these tough times. In the end we are all family, no matter what we can count on each other.

Juno Leopardi- Ch 16 When you least expect it.

The kids are growing up faster than ever.  Its been a while since the smaller ones mentioned their mom.  I was going to take them to the cemetery but I think that it will bring up all the bad memories back for them. They are now all in public school system.  For now there has not been too many complaints which I thank God for.

I eventually had to let the housekeeping lady go. She knew it was coming. There was no way she didn't notice that we were cutting back on everything else in the house.

Philllip is great with his little brothers and sisters.  He plays soccer with them even though some would rather do other things.  This eases my conscious when I leave them in charge of the house while I go out.

Cristina is the best baby girl a mother could wish for.  She is always wanting my attention and does things to get it.  We have been dancing a lot lately.  I don't mind since its great exercise for both.

I finally took my brother and sister's advice and decided to start dating.  I have been seeing a therapist who oddly enough plans events where people can do a meet and greet.  I was so nervous but she assured me that all would be fine. 

I met Nerissa Inada she was OK but there was a big age difference.  I don't really think that she knows what she wants. 

I also met Viola Kalson.  We had a lot in common. She is just out of a relationship.  She too was nervous about coming here and not meeting someone our age. But the focus of this was to meet several people so we agreed to talk a little later.

Elle Aloto was a little too strong for me.  I didn't think that we would be such a good match after a fwe minutes. My mind kept drifting back to Viola.

Either way I went inside the church to continue the social indoors.  I was surprised that Elle was actually sitting next to me.  She wanted to exchange numbers...I was going to give her a fake one but come on we were in church.  I gave her my number...at work.

Finally Viola managed to step away from the girl she was talking to and we talked again.  We definitely exchanged numbers and made a date to see each other again.  I left the social smiling.  Finally something to look forward to.

Dinner was great.  We met at the local restaurant and hit it off again.  We talked about everything and she was not too shocked at my background story.  She has no kids but was OK with me and my six kids.  We were having such a great time.

We ended the date with a nice kiss.  We are definitely going out again for sure.  There was something here but we needed to take it slow.  I always get scared of going to fast and burning the relationship just as fast.

I have been going out with Viola a lot and things at home have been getting a little out of control.  I had to pull Hugo and Lewis out of fighting with each other.

I had to ground Hugo. It was the first time and he didnt take it that great.  I told him that I didnt want him to ever lay a hand on one of his brothers.  I just hope this is not the start of bad behavior,

Beatrix came by to see the kids and she was so excited that I was dating.  She was the main person that pressured me to go to the meet and greet.  She wanted to hear everything about Viola. 

Right then Viola called me and asked if we can go out again for dinner.

After a few months of dating I thought it would be a good idea for Viola to meet my kids.  I asked Phillip and Stewart, they both agreed it was time to meet Viola.

We decided a park outing would be the best place.  Cristina was a little worried about meeting Viola.  She barely remembers her mom.  Viola got along with everyone and it was great.  we decided to head home and invited Viola to come and have dinner.

When it was time to drop her off she was glad she met my family.  I was glad too. We got in the car and then before we knew it we were tearing our clothes off.  I was worried that the kids would wonder why we were still in the driveway. 




I finally got her home and I kissed her goodnight. Yes this is the start of something very beautiful.  I can't wait to see what the future holds for us.

I am not liking the new format for blogger.  Juno is looking to get married.  I hope that Viola feels the same way.  for a moment I thought  that she would never find anyone she was attracted to.

She also drew the ROS of second honeymoon.  Being that she is a widow I made it to have a second date. It was  not that hard being that Viola and her were so attracted to each other.
